Welcome to the pet guide! Your one stop shop for everything cute a furry.
History:
On March 3rd, 2009, its was announced by Koopa That we were finally getting new pets to play with. The adorable update soon followed by new clothing drawn by Dollphane that makes our pets even cuter than before. Around this time the pet store also got an overhaul to fit our new pets.
Since the update of our pets, no one stepped up to make a new guide to suit them. Landi45 contacted me on June 14th, 2010 and asked if I would create a pet guide. I was sick at the time so I was unable to. Once I got better, no one else had stepped up to make the guide so I took over and here is the result!

To Adopt a Pet:
So you’ve decided to adopt a pet, or maybe you’re just thinking it might be a cool idea. Having a cute companion to your bimbo is very appealing. Now, a pet will cost you 9,000 BD to adopt. To adopt a pet, you must visit Pet Paradise.
Pet Paradise is located in the city in-between the beauty center, and the library. You can also get to Pet Paradise by hovering over the shops menu and it is the second from the bottom.
There are two windows in Pet Paradise, Cats and dogs. If you would like a Kitty, you want to click the right window. If you would like an adorable Puppy, you click on the left window.
Dog Choices
There are four different dogs you can choose from when you decide you want a puppy.
The Lhasa Apso
The French Bulldog
The Chihuahua
The Pomeranian
Each dog comes in four different colors to choose from. There is no price change between the dogs or price change between the colors. You simply have to pick your favorite and cough up the 9,000 BD.
Cat Choices
Like the dogs, there are four different cat choices but sadly, they have no creative names. They are simply all named Cute Kitten.
Cute Kitten 1
Cute Kitten 2
Cute Kitten 3
Cute Kitten 4
Also like the dogs, every cat comes in four different colors to choose from.
Benefits of a pet
Any pet will give you 100 BA a day if they are kept healthy and happy.
Also, when you play with your pet they will help make you bimbo happy and help her lose some weight. To play with your pet you will go to my bimbo page and click on the pet tab. This will give you the option of Playing with your pet. Clicking it will take you to this cute page.
Vet:
Since Bimbos seem to have been having a streak of Pet abuse, on September thirtieth 2010 the Vet was introduced to keep out pets alive.
DeathRay wrote:
...the purpose of this feature is to provide a convenient mechanism for restoring a pet to good health.
Quote taken from here.
When you are on the my bimbo section of the site, click on your pet tab. You click the third link down to access the vet.
The vet will always accept visits, whether needed or not. If not needed the pet loses a little happiness.
For the purpose of this guide, I fattened my puppy up so that I could use the Vet without incurring a happiness reduction. I gave Xia 17 bags of dog food.
When your pet needs to go to the vet:
ThePavs wrote:
It(your pet) needs to have ONE of the following -
Hunger - 99% or more
Happiness - 10% or less
Weight - 4.4lbs or less or 17.6lbs or more
Cleanliness - 10% or less
It doesn't matter which one of these you have but just as long as one of them is as above.
Taken from here.
After clicking the Vet link and your animal having horrid enough stats you have the option of taking them back to good health. There is a price attached to this but if you want your pet happy and healthy you should be willing to pay anything. The cost is determined by how many of the pet's statistics are in a critical condition. Some players have paid 200, but some have paid 400. It is all in how you treated the animal.
Once you fork over the BD, you will be greeted with some congratulations.
Also, when you look over on your pet tab, you now have a happy, healthy, thin pet.

When you arrive at Pet Paradise, you will see two click-able columns to either side of the pet windows. This section will deal with the left column.
You will be greeted with a section much like the items that you can buy for your lovely bimbo.
General Rule
If you have a dog, get the things labeled with ‘Dog’. If you have a cat, get things labeled with ‘Cat’.
Food
There are two different type of food.
The Doggy Croquettes give: 1% happy, + 0.66 weight, 15% hunger while the Can for dog gives 2% happy, +0.308 Weight, 17% hunger. Since both cost the same amount it is more cost effective to buy the Can for Dog rather then the Doggy Croquettes.
The Kitty Croquettes give: 1% happy, + 0.220 weight, 15% hunger while the
Can for cat gives: 2% happy, + 0.308 Weight, 17% hunger. It is the same story in cat food that it is more cost effective to get the canned version.
Candy
The candy gives: 5% happy, 5% hunger. It is the same for both animals but it is more cost effective to simply play with your pet than it is to buy it candy. In a pinch, the candy will help bring your dog or cat back to healthy.
Cleaning supplies
Yes, the Leash is a cleaning item for your dog. These two items are one time use in that, you use it once and you never have to buy it again. You can clean you cute pet over and over without having to buy more leashes or kitty litter.
When you choose to clean your pet it takes you to this page for the puppy.
You will be taken to this page for the kitty, since cat owning bimbos don't seem to clean their pets in the middle of a park.

When you arrive at Pet Paradise, you will see two click-able columns to either side of the pet windows. This section will deal with the right column.
Like our stylish bimbos, Our pets are creatures of wonderful style as well. They have been featured in a few themes but only have a few clothing choices as of now.
The interface is also very similar to buying clothing for our own bimbos except there are only three sections Head, Collar, and Body. The main noticeable difference is that when you buy an item, it does not tell you when you stick it in your basket that it has already been bought. You might try to buy the same thing plenty of times over.
To buy every clothing item for a dog would cost you 13,914 BD. There are 123 items of clothing in the dog version pet store.
To buy every clothing item for a cat would cost you 13,846 BD. There are 120 items of clothing in the dog version pet store.
The dog pet clothing store has 3 extra items in it:

The most expensive clothing item in the store is 370 BD for the Fairy dress.
Unlike our bimbos, our pets get no perks from having the most expensive clothing. They simply get to wear a cuter outfit then they possibly could before. It is required to have a certain number of pet clothing for a goal on a upper level.

Q: Omg, I heard if your pet dies it’ll cost you BA?!
A:
Landi45 wrote:
If you don't feed your pet it will die and you will lose 15% of your BA
do pets ever die?? well i think the answer is obvious, they don't.. admins' pets have like 500% hunger and -8000% happiness (ok, ok, i'm exaggerating a little ) and beckybunny is making her pet anorexic too, but that on purpose.. so.. they just told us our pet will die and we will lose 15% of our BA just to keep taking care of our pets even though they aren't dying? or did they try to make your pet die at certain percentage of hunger/happiness but it just failed big time? or does it need to be at 1000000% hunger and -10000000% happiness?Deathray wrote:
The conclusions here are pretty much correct...
However the pet thing did used to be true. I was recently perusing the login code for a new day when I spotted out some commented out (disabled) pet code that does indeed remove 15% of your ba if the pet is unfed or too unhappy! I would guess this was removed because it was too brutal. Now as many people know it just doesn't give you your BA and happiness bonus if the pet is unhappy. We might add a feature later on where your pet "runs away" if it is not maintained as many out there have absurd levels of unhappiness. And it doesnt only give you 100 BA It gives 2% extra happiness, but each new day when you login if it is over 100% it will reset back to 100% so you might not notice it if she is at max happiness.
Q: Can pets die?
A: At the moment, you can abuse your pets all you like and they will never die. They will however stop giving you bimbo bonuses.
Q: Can you get rid of your pet?
A:There is no way to get rid of a pet.
Q: What does the pet tab look like when you have a pet?
A:
Q: What is the healthy weight for pets?
A: Well, its about 7 pounds. My baby Xia came from the pet store at 8.8 Pounds so I have to assume that they just over fed him while he was there.
Q: How do you save pet accessories?
A: When you save your outfit it save the pet accessories at the same time.
Q: How come some people have different pets then listed in this guide?
A: Some people have what is referred to as ‘Old Pets’. These were pets that were introduced before the new pets were. They cannot wear the new clothing or have access to it. If they wish to get over a goal mentioned earlier, they have to change to the new pet.
Q: Can I switch pets?
A: If you’d like to pay 9,000 BD, sure.
Q: Is there a limit on how many times you can swap between a dog and cat?
A: Nope, feel free to swap them out as often as you like. Higher level players seem to enjoy doing to to eat up time and BD.
Q: I found a mistake in the guide!
A: Oh, Thanks! If you pm me about it I will happily fix it.
Q: I have a few pictures of my pet in a cute outfit, can you add it to the style section?
A: I will do this for a limited number of pets. I’d like to have a few picture of clothing choices but not everyone’s pets can be on here. I reserve the right to tell you no if I already have a similar clothing combination up.
Q:I found the same info on this topic.
A: I did take some information from that topic to help make this guide.
Q: My pet tab says 'warning', what's going on?
A: This is a warning that your pet is in danger of no longer giving you a 2% mood boost or 100 BA. You should probably take better care of the poor thing.
Q: If my bimbo goes on vacation, what happens to my pet?
A: Your pet takes a trip to the land of vacation with you. It will stop having stat changes, just like your bimbo.
Q: My animal is too chubby! How do I get them to lose some weight?
A: Other then not feeding the poor thing, you will need to play with it often. Every time a pet is played with, it's happiness rises and they lose weight. If you animal is far too chubby to function and it is affecting their happiness you can take them to the Vet.

Great guide, thanks!
So, I just bought a new pet. I used to have a cat and I bought a dog. I was a little surprised by my dog's cleanliness. My cat's cleanliness went down by 5% each day, but my dog's cleanliness goes down a whole 15%. I guess dogs are messier than cats; but I was wondering, is this the way it is for all cats (5%) and dogs (15%), or is every pet different?

You know, I don't think I said it clearly. Thanks for bringing it up.
Your pet can lose weight by you playing with it often. When you play with it, the pet will increase in happiness and lose weight. They are such multi-taskers.

You know, I honestly have no idea if it is different. I have only ever had a dog. My puppy reduces by 15% every two days I believe. I'll keep an eye on it and ask around. Thanks for mentioning it.
