Welcome to Metalheadz VI

We are a nice little group of people here on mb, with one thing in common: lots of metal music!
Here we talk about anything from the latest new bands to cow and pony sightings!!
Also feel free to substitute bimbo into any metal song and post it!
If you want to join us, you can just post here, we are open to anyone BUT
we would appreciate it very much if you actually have the same interests as us smile

Rules:
For every new page, a Metal youtube video must be embedded by the person who posts the first reply on that page. If you fail to do this, you will be tied to our slavepole.

The word emo is banned. Instead, you must say crybaby.

The thread always ends at page 66, cause thats nice and devilish.

Clutch is playing three days after my b-day in June. I have to drive from NYC to allentown PA. well technically my boyfriend drives me, I'm drivers license impaired. I also just bought tickets to see Floor in June too who apparently have no youtube videos up sad

I looked up Clutch and they are from Germantown which is pretty cool because I live in a German town tongue

I am even gonna listen to them in a minute when my alt-country album currently on comes to an end...

I promise I'm gonna actually post and talk about metal in this thread.

no vids but a myspace. Are you familiar with the band Torche? Floor was the band before Torche, Floor broke up and then some of the original Floor members formed Torche. Now Floor is back together and touring. They are from Florida.

I have a lot of friend-taxis. lol They are necessary when you live so far from a bus route.

I use my boyfriend taxi smile and sometimes my parents.

No Torche is still going. They'll just take a break while they do the Floor thing. I bet next year they'll do a Torche / Floor tour.

I'm looking forward to seeing what Typhani thinks of Clutch. And I want to know about the alt-country album too. I like Johnny Cash and Hank III, so I'm not opposed to country.

Clutch sound all right, I will listen to a few more songs tomorrow - Someone remind me if I forget.

I was listening to Son Volt who I'm actually a rather big fan of for some reason. They are the alt country counterpart to Wilco. Jeff Tweedy and Jay Farrar used to be in a band called Uncle Tupelo, then when they split Jeff started Wilco and Jay started Son Volt. The latter are the best of the three in my opinion. (Uncle Tupelo are too country for me. Wilco are just a bit boring, though catchy.)

Since I've moved here I've only been in a car I think four times.. hmm five if you count taxi from airport the day we arrived. Wait no, six. And it's been six months now. Oh bugger no, seven times. The point is, I can remember what each journey was for, hah. I often used boyfriend-taxi before, but now we are collectively carless.

Clutch's sound varies throughout their career. The older stuff sounds a lot different than the newer stuff. I like it all smile obviously. Did you find their website http://pro-rock.com, there's a few videos on there. They are one of those, you either love em or don't bands.

Gosh, I'm really not a Wilco fan. A guy I work with LOVES them and always takes Wilco CDs into work. Those are the days I make excuses to hide in the storeroom rather than listen to Wilco. LOL!

My new favourite thing - Flash all in one cleaner with - get this - FEBREEZE! It smells like heaven. My home no longer stinks of dog.

Oh, and I'm listening to Kiss on shuffle. It's currently on Strutter.

Eeh, I don't tend to like the smell of cleaning products. I especially hate air freshener smells. But most things are better than dog I suppose tongue

Our vacuum cleaner is one we got second hand off some friends who have two dogs. (Westies or Scotties, I forget). For a long time, hoovering caused our own house to smell like dog. It still does a little bit but god it was bad at the start.

Right I'm going to sit down with a Clutch album now. Spotify only has three full length albums, I'm going to start with the 1993 one.

Ohh that must suck. I maintain that terriers are the smelliest dogs you can get. Sweep never smelled as bad as Lola and Floyd do, except for when he had cancer.

Anyone of you lot got a Nintendo Wii? I'm thinking about buying one. I'm so bored of using the crosstrainer, I want the Wii Fit thing to shake up my (rare and spontaneous) exercise sessions.

Febreeze makes me not able to breathe, I think I'm allergic to it. The one they sell in the states also lists the ingredients as "air freshener" which leads me to believe it's full of something they don't want you to know about. Cause duh! obviously it's air freshener!

Shiloh - The EA Sports Active game is a lot better than the Wii Fit if your looking to really exercise. You can go straight from one exercise to the other in EA and in the Wii Fit you always have to go back to the menu.

YAY Typhani your starting with Transnational album. One thing I always like to do is go to their website and go to the lyrics and click on the links http://pro-rock.com/index.cfm?page=disc … p;lid=101, see what goes on Neils head when he writes lyrics. Sometimes there's an explanation t the beginning. It's fun!

It's not bad, best song so far was Binge and Purge, was singing along hahah.

I haven't ever tried wii fit or anything like it. I would like to, or one of those dance games or something, to get fitter. I worry about bothering the people downstairs if i exercise in my apartment though - my landlord's office is below me! Which does have the advantage that I can be loud at night since there's no one there then, but that means I have to be in the mood to exercise at night.

I like exercising later in the day. I am completely dysfunctional until after 12 pm. My body wakes up earlier then my brain.
