Dragcave is a website (at www.dragcave.net) where you can adopt and raise dragon eggs, up to four eggs at a time.  To catch a dragon, click on its description at the Cave.  Which dragon it will turn into is a mystery and part of the fun!

Three eggs usually fall every five minutes, so you have to be quick  .A large amount of eggs drop on the hour, unless there are too many abandoned eggs.  Once you catch an egg, you should try to get people to click your egg so you can get unique views, views, and clicks. Be careful though, because too many clicks with not enough views or too many clicks with not enough unique views can give your egg a soft shell (SS) and it might die!

Unique Views: The first time a new person sees your egg
Views: Repeat viewing of an egg, after the first time
Clicks: When someone clicks on your egg to see its description

To prevent SS, you should hide your egg. (Go to Actions > Hide) When the SS warning disappears (usually in a day), then you can unhide your egg again.

Once your egg gets a hole and it has less than 3 days 12 hours left (IT WILL NOT HATCH BEFORE 3 days 12 hours remain), it turns into a hatchling!  The same rules apply to the hatchling again. Don't allow it to get too many clicks or it will get it sick and could die.  Hatchlings grow wings when they mature and at 3 days 12 hours will be able to grow up into a adult.

When hatchlings mature into adult dragons, you don't need to post them anymore, but you must view them at least once every 8 weeks or they will lose their name.

Alternate vines, blunas, geodes, and alternate blacks are never in an egg drop and can only be gotten through breeding, or the abandoned page.

Paper and chicken eggs are very rare, as are silvers and golds.  They make up a very small portion of the total number of eggs that are offered, so people try to click for those first.

Dinosaur eggs are also rare, but less so.  They are the brightly colored eggs with the white spots.  They can be yellow, red, blue, or green.

HATCHING EGGS...

Noticing a crack in your egg?  That's a good thing! 

The stages of hatching are:
- Single crack
- Multiple cracks
- Multiple cracks with split
- Small hole
- Large hole
- Hatchling  (At this point, you can name your dragon)
- Mature hatchling  (At this point, the dragon's gender is revealed)
- Adult

** There is a minimum of 3 days 12 hours required before an egg can hatch, no matter how many clicks it gets!! **
