Clothing Challenge- Get out your sewing kits!

I thought it would be cute if I made a thread for people with sewing talents. I'm not great but I'm not bad either. The challenge is to take a barbie and make an outfit for her using anything in your house! Heck, it could be tin foil for all that barbie doll cares! LOL I'm going to go through my junk drawer tonight and see if I have any fabric. When I'm done I'll post an image of my creation and whenever you guys are done you can post yours as well. smile Who knows, maybe someone is talented enough with a needle to inspire Dollphane! I know at least one person on here is talented enough to even make a real outfit for herself rather than a barbie(PetiteAristocrat!). Get sewing everyone!

Reminds me i need to finish my quilt D8

I'm a textiles student and for my coursework i've gotta make a quilt.. TBH i dont think the final piece is gonna look too good, purely because its just a patchwork quilt with quotes and symbols drawn or embroided on... but i'll take a pic of the final outcome and post it if you're interested.

I found a bunch of felt and got my daughter's old recieving blankets that she hated because they were too thin. bave2 I also found her Sleeping Beauty barbie and Ariel barbie to use as models. First I need to brush out the tangles from their hair! lol I'll start work tonight when my kids are in bed. If my daughter sees the barbies she'll flip out and want them back.

Great idea, to bad I don't have a barbie, I always hated that doll. Does it have to be clothes only? Because I think that I still have one toy I made.
