and has anyone confronted with any paranormal thing?

I didn't want to see it, honestly. It held no appeal to me. Hollywood likes to overexaggerate things too much. And this was pretty much another Blair Witch Project.
I've grown up with weird things happening around me. From hearing voices to seeing shadows dart across the backyard to a little girl watching me while I'm on the computer. That little girl loved to play with my sister's hair when she was trying to sleep. My sister and I both woke up to music one morning coming from our badly out-of-tune toy guitar. I went to go see if she was playing with it and she freaked 'cause she thought it was me. Turned out the guitar was sitting my bedroom.

It was interesting until I found out it was fake just like Blair Witch. Then I felt like I wasted my time.

The whole thing sucked, real or not. There's a sequel coming out too. lame

I actually thought it was awesome and incredibly scary. I didn't care that it wasn't real. It was NEVER advertised as being real so that criticism falls flat. The Blair Witch was shaky and most of the "paranormal" scenes you couldn't actually SEE anything. Paranormal Activity delivered in spades. It was well shot and the camera was not unstable in the critical moments. I thought it was a great ghost flick. I've watched it about four times already and own it.
EDIT: I've been a sensitive most of my life and a lot of the time have wished I wasn't. I'm a scaredy cat, even though most of my 26 years I've had paranormal stuff happen to me constantly I just can't get used to it. My best friend and I growing up were both sensitives.
I won't talk about my own experiences but her worst one was this crazy woman running up the attic stairs (where my friend's room was) screaming and brandishing a knife. She ran up to my friend's bed and was inches away from her face with her eyes full of hate. Then she disappeared. I've experienced many things worse than that.

I thought it was quite boring too. Nothing I hadn't seen before. I heard reports of some audiences freaking out completely over it, but... WTF!? is all I have to say to that.

first, when i opened my player to see the movie,i was afraid of how i'm gonna feel.i am easy to scare too,not horror with crime and blood is scary for me,but one with ghosts and demons.it didn't scared me the movie, only the idea ,it opened my mind, and last night i fell asleep with the tv turned on and holding my husband tight.the only scene that scared me in thiss movie, was when that black shadow(u can barely see it on the door)came and pulled the girl out of bed,and her scream was also horrible.that's all,in rest everything was too much, the footprint in the dust, the blood, her acting was somehow ridiculous

Yeah watching the movie didn't scare me, I only jumped at the last bit where the guy was thrown up the stairs into the room, cos I wasn't expecting it.
Buut for maybe a few weeks after the movie I became incredibly scared while I was trying to sleep at night, hearing all those normal night time noises but my imagination turned them into super natural type of noises.
Also it didn't help that my cat got stuck in the roof one night and was clawing and running around above the ceiling..

It was alright, these types of films don't scare me anymore. The twist at the end IMO was predictible. It did make me jump but only because of all the screaming - loud noises always make me jump lol.
I've never encountered any paranormal activity personally but I've seen a photo of a ghost and a friend of mine lived in a haunted house for years. One story she told me was that she was in her room working and then some ringbinders she had on top of her bookcase stacked up one by one on the floor.
I'm uber paranoid, I hate being in the house by myself or going to the bathroom at night, the smallest noises make me panic lol.

I thought the film was bland compared to some of my own personal encounters with the supernatural.

Yeah, I have. I think there is even my topic about it somwhere on the forum) Scared the crap out of me and I couldn't sleep for a week) I got over it by rewatching it several times with my friends over and over ntill it got old)
The most frightening concept for me, used in this movie - you are not safe under covers!
You should see The fourth kind)

The previews were better than the film. Paramount edited the film so the previews weren't in the film

I thought it was terrible. Not even just a bad scary movie, just a bad movie in general. And for the record, I liked Blair Witch. It made for at least a comedic scary movie.

I really enjoyed it to be honest.
Wasn't the best movie ever, but it certainly wasn't the worst either.

I haven't seen it yet. I am a huge fan of scary movies but unfortunately nothing seems to scare me anymore... I want to watch it just to see if its as scary as all my friends say it is, but I really doubt it will be...

IT'S NOT A BIG DEAL...u won't miss anything.

yes, i saw it.
whoever made the movie did a pretty good job keeping up a story with so little resources, just a house and some video cameras.
