Design advice

My friend and I are thinking of designing our own mini clothing range, just something between us and friends, nothing that you're gonna see on the high street anytime soon!

He's working on the guys clothes, but we're struggling for ideas for girl's clothing. We're thinking of doing jeans, long tops, cardigans and casual dresses. And we want to stick to indie style.

You can just give us ideas from pictures off the internet or, if you have your own designs, we'd love to see them!

Hope you can help us bisou

I am sick and tired of this stupid 'black bimbo' shit, it's ridiculous. So until further notice I won't be on here, I'm leaving my bimbo on vacation for as long as it takes for this crap to be over and done with.
You took it too far, guys.

Re: Design advice

You're probably best getting hold of several copies of magazines such as Vogue/Dazed/Love and get moodboarding. Pull out anything you like and just glue them in one place for reference. Pull out silhouettes, patterns and design details you could use and mess around, draw out a good lot of designs, changing each one ever so slightly in order to develop it slowly.

Take inspiration from other things too, put anything you like on the moodboard, photos, charms etc etc

Personally I like the nude colour palette right now, also, there's a beautiful Miu Miu advert in April's Vogue, the fabric has cats on it! Can't find anything as lovely as that image on google though.

Make sure you let us know how things go smile

Re: Design advice

I found this interest article that shows a lot of software for cloth designing, as I see, non of them are for free, but maybe you can buy them. I wish I could design my own clotes too but I suck at drawin so much. Good luck!!
