Re: Problem. . . . .

There's a thread stickied in Arts and Creativity which has advice on how to edit and use programs. You are best off asking one of the players there smile

Re: Problem. . . . .

I honestly have no idea why it is doing that, but have you just tried making a new layer and filling it with white?  Then you wouldn't have to look at it...

Sorry, that's all I have for an answer right now. I will keep doing a bit more research though.

Re: Problem. . . . .

Yeah I looked at your other post, and I put those exact settings into my Photoshop new canvas settings. I did not have the same problem though... I've never seen a problem like yours before.

But, as long as you can function in Photoshop and make new layers etc... I don't think it's a major problem.

Re: Problem. . . . .

So, that is a negative on any new layers above the canvas? Like, no matter how many new layers you make you can't see under the black areas?

Are you launching Photoshop from a shortcut on the desktop or start menu? If so, open the program from the actual Adobe folder.

If that does not work, try opening the program again and dragging a image into Photoshop from a folder or your desktop.

If that does not work, close the program, find any image on your computer, right click it and tell it to OPEN WITH> ADOBE PHOTOSHOP.

Let me know if those black areas are still there - if not it has to be a problem with making a new canvas.

By the way, what operating system are you running?
