Re: **Editing Help - Tips and Tricks** ♥

Ok guys I'm really struggling. I want to make hair, and I've done a few basic ones before using the tutorial but now I want to try a high ponytail with a big poof (or a quiff - whatever you like to call it) at the front and I just can't get the shape right. Does anyone have any tips? I can picture it in my head on the edit I just made but I can't for the life of me draw it.

Oh, gosh .. this post could be pointless hmm I'm not good at hair, hate it yikes Did you try looking at the quiff on MB and maybe googling it? hmm

Re: **Editing Help - Tips and Tricks** ♥

Yeah I tried to copy the quiff here but then I couldn't get the high ponytail right tongue I eventually got a basic shape but it was late so I left it and will probably make another attempt at it tonight or when I get back from my holiday.

I basically need it because I'm doing edits of loads of cheerleading uniforms and I want to be able to get the hair perfect so I can edit big hair bows in as well lol.

Re: **Editing Help - Tips and Tricks** ♥

Hey guys I need some help! I created a few skirts and dresses last night and forgot all about my bimbos arm. See how the dress is over her arm?

http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n29/Sanako_art/Dress2HELP.png

I recolored the dresses and skirts so I have over 35 versions altogether.  Is there a fast way I can get rid of the fabric in front of her arm quickly? Copy, pasting, deleting? I don't want to have to go to each version and copy it onto my bimbo then crop out the fabric.

That will take forever. sad

Hope this makes sense. Oh, and the hair is MM2007/SS. Haha I forgot to take it off.

In Photoshop or any similar program, you can align all the recolors (in separate layers) over a bimbo base, hide them so you can make a selection of the bimbo's hand (using the lasso tool or the pen tool), then go to each layer and delete the selected portion (Remember not to deselect while moving between layers). I hope that helps. smile

A button is usually around 4x4 px... and I made a howtoimg for Photoshop, the steps don't need magic so they can be done on every software:

Re: **Editing Help - Tips and Tricks** ♥

Thank you so much! This was really helpful.

Here are some buttons I made. I scaled down the button you helped with to make the one on the third vest. Now it's 3x3 px. I think they need to be moved around a bit though. I put them on the vest to fast. =P

Don't feel so bad. There are plenty of tutorials linked in the first post of this thread, as well as in this tutorial/blog list. This particular Photoshop tutorial by Nebby has really helped me a lot in my edits, they're quite decent now.

When you complete the path, don't select another tool. When you right-click, you should see the Fill Path and Stroke Path options..

You can use Windows Movie Maker. I personally use Adobe Premier Pro with Adobe After Effects which is really good but for something basic you're best using Movie Maker.

your best bet is to do each color 1 at a time, cause getting them to match exactly is hard

I don't do hair much, but I make mine gray-ish then have a layer with the base color in grain merge above it.  I find that they get really close to the  original with little adjusting for each color.
I use gimp.
