Hogwarts School Role-play (Seasonal)

Character Profile: This is my 4th year in Gryffindor. I was so excited when i got my letter that i screamed in delight. I ran straight upstairs to find my uniform from last year(hmm i might have to get a new one as this one seems a little small). I couldnt wait to go back and see all my friends. This is going to be so much fun.

As Sashina walked through to platform 9 and 3/4 she suddenly felt Happy.It wasnt the usual kind of happy though because she was always happy.It was more of a. . .well. . .indescribable feeling. It was a feeling thats she had not only this year but last year the year before and the year before that.She loved that feeling because she new she could finaly be herself.Even thou her parents were both wizards they still had to act like muggles in the real world because they didnt want to be treated differently so when sashina finally got to go back to hogwarts it brang back feelings and memories she could ever forget.
She was so excited for this year and when she finally started to hear the hogwarts express train she had to take some deep breaths so she didnt scream again like she did when she first got her letter from hogwarts.

I have Herbology I want Transfiguration too! Herbology is fun and all but, come on!

I walked quickly out of the common room and towards my corridors, confident that all of the students were in their lessons now. At least, the student from Hufflepuff were.

Finally I had made it to Transfiguration. After helping a 1st year out of the missing step and giving directions to the lot, I was in a very grouchy mood!
After reassuring all the newcomers that my outfit was allowed(After my talk with Dumbledore) and shrugging off the sniggers, I slammed the door behind me.
Everyone in the room seemed to know my way of changing the uniform because there wasn't a snigger, and everyone seemed to finally accept it.
"A bit late, are we?" Professor McGonagall asked me as I sulked in the room.
"1st years," I grumbled.
She smiled amusingly, "Nonetheless, I expect all of you to be on time"
"My apologies," I said trying to look sincere.
We had a love-hate relationship. It just depended on both of our moods.
"Now to get out the rat assigned to your desks, and we will pick up with a bit of a review."
I transfigured quite well, and ended up making only one mistake: My toaster still had a tail.
By the end of class, I was in a somewhat better mood though. After all, it was one class that was over with!

"Fellow Slytherins, welcome to quidditch try-outs!" the captain announced. "You will be auditioning for the part of beater or seeker." The rest of the team, including me, hovered behind the captain, watching the try-outs. I was a chaser on the team, and the captain had asked the team to help her decide who would be good for the positions.
"They're good," I murmered in her ear, pointing at a fast blur of green chasing the snitch, and catching it a few seconds later. The girl with the snitch saw me pointing and sped over, grinning. Soon, she and a burly third year boy with a crew cut joined the Slytherin team, and the try-outs were over.

I know, I do want to try-out!

I knew when it was due, I just thought she was going to give us a story to run by.

I stood in the courtyard, waiting for the captain of Hufflepuff. There were only other three others waiting, so I felt pretty good. I loved playing Quidditch, and thought I was pretty good at it. I liked playing with my best friends and younger sister, Chloe. Finally I seen the captain making her way up the yard. I smiled to myself. It was my time to shine

Vickie walked on to the Quidditch feild wit a massive smile on her face it was quttidtch tryouts ans she knew that she would be on the team again. Vickie would be trying out for seeker as she has for the past couple of years.She walked on to the felid and helped the captin sort everyone out in to year and what they want to be there was only 1 other person trying to be a seeker and that was this boy called johnathan but he was in year 3. Vickie was confident but she didin't want to show it just incase. The captin found all the people that they need on the gryffindor team except the seeker. Johnathan went first and he did really good he catched the snitch in 5mins 34 seconds and i havnt even done it that fast i am in trouble.
Well its vickie's go now and she was shaking soo badly the captin let go on the snitch and Vickie sped after it as fast as lighting and she missed but it was 5 mins exactly so she only had 34 seconds and they where goin down fast. she knew it was all over but then she found this sudden corage and she flew faster than she had ever had before and SHE CAUGHT IT in 5mins 30 seconds.
that night there was a MASSIVE party in the gryffindor common room which naturally Vickie took part of even though she was a prefct but hey prefect ar allowed a little fun nowdays arnt they.

Bloodline: Half-Blood, my mother married a muggle
Character Profile: Amelia-Faye is an intelligent and insightful Ravenclaw, who is always quick-thinking and optimistic about almost all situations. Caring of all other students, Amelia-Faye is friendly and always looks out for her friends. Hardworking and pleasant, she is a valued member of the Hogwarts community.

Name: Aisling Grace Delaney
Bloodline:Pure blood, sort of
Character Profile: Aisling is a 5th year Ravenclaw she is pure-blood technically as both her parents are from a long of wizarding families, but her Dad is a squib (something that the family try and keep secret). Her parents didnt want any children as they where terrified of another squib being genetic, howerver Aisling was concieved anyway and her parent breathed a sigh of relief when she egan to cast magic as a toddler (the cat wasn't as impressed at being turned pink).  Aisling is ambitous and wants to prove herself to her grandparent who look down on them because of her Father, she wasl almost sorted into slytherin but the hat decided that Ravenclaw would be a better suit.

Recieving the letter....

"Mum, Dad" I called as I opened the door with my key, they were not in but I wasnt surprised my dad worked in the London as an exucive banker in the muggle world and my mum worked at Gringotts as a curse breaker as such both were away from home..a lot. I shut the door bolting it and locking it with a charm.
"Morpheus" I called "You can come out, I'm alone"
A crack echoed behind me and I felt a thin pair of arms grip around my legs.
"Morpheus is so happy Gracie is back" The house elf greeted and I giggled as I managed to pull away. The house elf blinked his large brown eyes and the house immediatley lit up and the fire sparked to life in the drawing room to the left of the hall way, I walked in collapsing onto an oversized couch kitcking my shoes of I lay back as Morpheus carried an a tray of tea and biscuits.
"Thank you" I smiled buting into a piece of chocolate coated short bread, I adored Morpheus, the house-elf had practically raised me, my parents barely bothered with me both were out there trying to prove something. My father had amassed a small fortune in the muggle world and was quite succesfull and well known he tried hard to make up for the fact he had no magical blood and worked 70-80 hour weeks. My mother was a celebrated curse breaker who risked her life daily, yet we were still the outcasts, and as such we lived in a muggle village and had a muggle city flat, drove muggle cars...Morpheus was the only magical thing, a wedding gift to my mother, and my father had even tried to get rid of him. It was only that as a toddler my magic was uncontrallable that they had kept him, I had scared many a muggle nanny away!
"Is Mum still in egypt" I asked spraying a couple of crumbs out of my mouth as I spoke (they disentegrated before they hit the floor)
Morpheus nodded his eyes sad "Mistress and Master Delaney both sent apologies that they would be unable to see you before you return to school. Master Delaney is in the Americas for another month"

I sighed but quickly turned it into a smile so as not to upset Morpheus, I felt sorry for him too he had been here alone while I had been away at my grandparents on my fathers side, I hated going there, they always looked at me as if I was a lesser person because my Father was the embarrasment of the family, what made it worse was my cousin Brutus who was two years older than me and a complete imbecile yet they treated him like the next messiah, just because his dad was perfect! Ha, hardly! My grandmother had given birth to twins, and as such it was a complete bafflement that one ended up being a squib, It seemed like a cruel twist of fate too me, my Uncle Gus,  Augustus may have magical ability but he was stupid and thuggish  a slytherin elitist who had to be bailed out of many scrapes by his parents, whereas my Father Julius had no magical ability yet had scored record braekingly high in his muggle school and graduated top iof his class at an elite university.  He had met my Mother at a bitrthday party for Gus (they where twins but parties were only held for Gus, my father would recieve a card if he was lucky). She had fallen for his intelligence and ambitions, after she graduated from hogwarts headgirl, she married my Father, her family were not happy and had disowned her...she had tainted the bloodline. At first they didnt care, they had each other, and were madly in love. I dont know when they began to hate each other I just realised very young that my parents couldnt bare to be in the same room with each other, both worked away most of the time so it had been Morpheus and me, hidden in the house as we lived in a muggle street so a houseelf couldnt be seen. But Morpheus would disaparate with me and we would go shopping in diagon alley, or other wizarding towns, when I went to Hogwarts at eleven it was just Morpheus on his own and I know it was hard for him, I had begged to take him with me but Mother thought it improper.

"Gracie" Morpheus shrieked breaking me out of my thoughts "Your letter"
With a crack the huge hogwarts envelope landed on my lap, I opened it holding my breath , and the it was nestled between the cream sheets of paper...my prefects badge! I grabbed morpheus in my arms and we began jumpig around, in happiness he made small fireworks out of the fire.

Hogwarts Express and Welcome Feast

I gave Morpheus a hug goodbye at the platform his large eyes filled with tears as did mine, Morpheus recieved a few funny glances from 1st years who were familair with them and gasps from muggle's and muggle borns. The other students where used to his behaviour, epecially after my first year when he had clung to my leg and refused to let me go, I was slightly mortified but I loved him too much to be mad. I steppen onto the train biting my lips as Morpheus threw himself to the ground howling loudly and as the train pulled away I saw him dissapear back home. I was already in my hogwarts uniform as the usual rules of apparation dont work with a house elf so he always took me to the platform and I didnt have to do the run into the barrier others had told me about.
"If that was my house-elf I would have be-headed it by now" A nasal voice spoke behind me, my fists clenched although I already knew it was Delilah a slytherin sixth year and my cousins girlfreind. She 5'5'', with her dark auburn hair cut short and flashing green eyes heavily made up. Even though she was a couple of inches shorter than me she always managed to look down on me in disgust. Her eyes narrowed when she saw my prefect badge.
"Who did Mummy have to sleep with to get you that" She said,and her cronies giggled in the hallway. I blushed but resisted going for my wand I was smarter than that, Delilah never went anywere alone she was always follwed by a gang of simpering idiots. I turned my head as if her insult didnt phase me although it did, there was many rumours going around that my Mum had affairs.

"Del, baby where are you" I groaned inwardly as my cousins voice boomed down the corridor, Delilah turned and smiled sweetly at the tall blonde who walked up to her. She wasn't with my cousin for his brains he only recieved one owl and that was only because proffesor Snape was a friend of the family. My cousin looked similair to me as we both looked like our parents tall with blonde curls and blue eyes. Brutus was heavily muscled as he was the quiddtch team beater (and hoped to be captain) rumors where he was joining the Falmouth Falcons when he graduated, and those were the two resaons Delilah pawed over him.

"Hey Ash" He grunted, I didn't like my cousin but couldn't hate him he was stupid not cruel like his girlfriend although it did make me mad that he called me Ash, when I preferred Grace.
"Brutus" I smiled back "If you dont mind I have somewhere to be" I took the chance to walk away then, Delilah would never show her true colours towards me in front of Brutus as he would see it as an insult to his family, and Brutus would never appreciate her using my Fathers squib status as an insult as it was supposed to be a secret.

I wandered down the corridor untill I found Poppy, Poppy was a hufflepuff in her sixth year she was petite with a mass of tight red curls, often with bit of plant stuck in it as she adored herbology and care of magical creatures.
"Hi Pop's" I said
"Gracie" She squeled "I have been looking everywere for you! I missed you this summer, wish you could have stayed but I understand you not wanting to leave morpheus..he isnt here is he, it was so embarrasing last time he snuck on the train but kind of cool, anyway I was thinking why doesnt Morpheus come with you at christmas, my mum would love the help"
Poppy said all this without taking a breath and I paused for a moment processing what she had said.
"Sorry, but my grandparents are insisted I am with them over christmas as they are holding a christmas ball, I dont know how much more Brutus worshipping I can take!"
Poppy blushed and I bit my lip "I didn't mean you Pop's, I meant my family"
"Dont worry," Poppy smiled "This year I am setting my sights on someone new, I have officialy given up on the Brutus worshipping!" She giggled but it sounded forced, Poppy had been in love with my cousin since her first year here when he had been a third year, Brutus barely gave Poppy a second glance, but it didnt matter she was obsessed!
I didn't get chance to speak with Poppy as I was whisked away with the other prefects and the head girl and boy, I knew Corazie as I spent alot of time with Hufflepuffs and she smiled at me when I sat down. The other Ravenclaw 5th year prefect was Author Goldstein, he was nice enough, although we weren't friends, he was captain of the wizard chess club and he tended to spend most of his time with them so I? didnt know much about him. We were told that are duties would be to shadow the sixth year prefects in escorting the sorted first years to the dorm and other duties.



When the train pulled up to the school I found Poppy and a few of our other friends, Kris and Willa sisters  Kris a Ravenclaw fifth year like me and Willa a fourth year hufflepuff, Jason was a hufflepuff sixth year and since he had started dating Kris he and his friends Oscar and Riley had joined our small group, finally was Eve another hufflepuff and Poppy's roomat, however e she was the opposite of Poppy, she was always smartly dressed with her hair pulled back, she hated being outside and Arithmancy was her favourite subject (she was the only person I knew who had chosen that subject) Whereas Poppy was never quite Eve hardly ever spoke.
Kris whooped with delight when she saw my badge and held her hand's in fron of her as mock handcuffs.
"You may as well take me in now, it'll save time later" she laughed, Kris was known for sneaking out of her dorm and performing magic in corridors, although Willa was prettier then her sister, the energy that emitted from Kris made her immediatly likable and she was feircly protective over Willa as such no guy ever looked twice at her, I felt sorry for her but she didnt seem to mind and easilyu excepted how men fell at Kris' feet, Jason was besotted with Kris he would sit there and watch her for hours.

We managed to squeeze into one carriage helped by the daintyness of Poppy and Willa, but had to seperate when we reached the hall, Jason kissed Kris in a way that wasn't entirely appropriate and I coughed to seperate them Kris making a mock salute. We joined the Ravenclaw table and Kris immediatly drew the attention of the table with her loud voice and interesting tales, she got so caught up in a summer adventure dragon spotting in bulgaria that she didn't here Dumbledore call the attention of the hall and I had to nudge her so she would be quite. The feast was delicous as usual but I was melacholy at the thought of Morpheus on his own, he would be happy in the castle here during term time and my parents were not home enough to need him there. I vowed to write to my Mother and plead, perhaps the news that i had made prefect would help soften her to the idea.

After the feast Author and I called over the new first year Ravenclaws and ascorted them to the tour, which was a difficult job as Kris had decided to follow at the back and was telling them all the secret passages, places to hide from proffesors and portraits that would keep a secret. I couldnt help but smile, it was nice to be back even if my roommate was an evil genius!
