Re: Wonderlanders & Looking Glassers

I wish I had all those Disney movies on DVD! So jealous!

I have almost every Disney film created on video tape, though.  If that counts for something.

Re: Wonderlanders & Looking Glassers

At one point we had all the Disney VHS except for Peter Pan and 102 Dalmations.  >.>  My parents have sold a few in yard sales since then, and of course, we got old enough to stop collecting them so religiously.  Unfortunately, they did that while I wasn't home to squirrel away a few of my favorites.  )X

Re: Wonderlanders & Looking Glassers

I don't have too many Disney films, really. Just a lot of Alice films.

I don't have 'more money' necessarily.  I just spend it on different things.  For example I don't have a cool cell phone with some plan that would allow me to text and call people, or play games or go on the internet.  I bargain shop for my clothing.  I'm allowed one doctor visit a year.  I don't have to pay for glasses or any other medical equipment.  We have no cable television.  We get our internet for free because of my husband's job... So... we buy DVDs.  *Smile*

Re: Wonderlanders & Looking Glassers

I had an old pair of jeans that were too big for me and had a hole in them... I purchased a black fabric marker at the craft shoppe and drew the mad hatter on them... I'm not sure if I should continue to draw Wonderland characters on the pants... or just Disney characters in general?

I pay for rent, groceries, internet, gas, and occasionally, a random treat if I stay under budget, like my Alice in Wonderland jacket.

Re: Wonderlanders & Looking Glassers

I still live with my parents when I'm not at school so I have the luxury of not paying for anything, but I don't have money.

I want to get a job at some point but I'm never in the States during the summer and nobody will hire someone with no experience over winter breaks. :'(

If I did have money though I'd spend it on plane tickets or food.

Re: Wonderlanders & Looking Glassers

Apply to the Children's Place if there's one near you for seasonal work during Thanksgiving and Christmas.  They hire just about anyone, regardless of experience.  After all, they hired me, and other places never even gave me a callback.

I'm lucky my father works for Southwest Airlines, so I don't have to pay to fly.  Every three months, he gets four passes to allow friends to fly free, and he sends them to me.  Until my sister's 23, she'll also get to fly nonrevenue, but she flies as a dependent.  I usually fly either home to Texas or to visit my boyfriend in Minneapolis.

Re: Wonderlanders & Looking Glassers

My first job was Hot Topic... I had no experience and they hired me for the Christmas rush.  Because I am so awesome at interviews.  *Giggle*  I am over flowing with charisma, when I want to be.

Re: Wonderlanders & Looking Glassers

Well, they didn't hire me because my break was for roughly 3 weeks and it takes about 2 weeks to train.  They told me to apply again over the summer but I'm never here.  I think next next summer I'll be around so I can try then.

I'll have to look into the Children's Place, but I think there's one near me.

Re: Wonderlanders & Looking Glassers

I saw the new Alice in Wonderland in 3D.  It was the first 3D movie I've ever seen, and I'm surprised at how much I liked watching a movie that way.  I really liked the way the movie was done.  I thought I wouldn't like the Mad Hatter because he looked too creepy, but I loved the way Johnny Depp played the character.  I loved his crazy sweetness!  The music and the costumes were so beautiful.  It is a movie I'm going to have to get on DVD.

I saw the Disney cartoon version and i love it. smile

I shall love this version too - for at least 3 reasons: I like the "Alice" song, by Avril Lavigne, I like dreamy things and i love Johnny coeur

It is good.  But don't expect it to be anything like the cartoon.  *Nod*  It's a completely different story.

Re: Wonderlanders & Looking Glassers

Hey hey darlings I was wondering what is your favorite quotes of the movie .
Mine is the Mad Hatter quote :
The Mad Hatter: There is a place. Like no place on Earth. A land full of wonder, mystery, and danger! Some say to survive it: You need to be as mad as a hatter.
[picks up his hat]
The Mad Hatter: Which luckily I am. - I love when Jhonny say this [ When I recive a message my phone ring like that ^^ ]

I like the March Hare's quotes "Cup" & "Spoon".  I also like the entire conversation with the Queen & Alice when she became "Um from Umbridge".
