I recently watched Temple Grandin. It's basically about a woman who overcame her disability and became successful in life...you have to watch it...I found myself crying, like literally boohooing at several parts of this movie
it was just so inspirational...made me look at my life and surroundings from whole different perspective....so..what movie(s) makes you cry and why?

Ummm...in a rough order:
Marley and Me
My Sisters Keeper
Armageddon
The Green Mile
The Bucket List
I have more! :S I just get effected by sad films quite badly.
Marley and Me is my top one for crying, perhps because I have 2 dogs, and one of them is quite old..I don't know. But I cried as though one of my parents had died when I watched that film!
My Sisters Keeper is probably second because I cry pretty much all the way through it at random moments :S. The worst part of it for me is when the lawyer has an epileptic fit, because my friend died of epilepsy..mehh not so good.
Generally I'm a sad act, I cry at many many films and books.

I haven't seen My Sisters Keeper yet, it's on my netflix list though
The Bucket List was a really good movie, didn't cry but I was inspired to at least try to really live my life to the fullest...I don't think that these movies are sad..they just have unfortunate events happening in them, but they all have happy endings...I do enjoy happy endings
...btw sorry about your friend

Curious George. When the monkey can't find that man and starts like, crying, I start crying.

Curious George made me cry too!
I just didn't understand how you couyld trun such an adorable monkey away!
And with The Bucket List, the part that made me cry was when he met his granddaughter and crossed the 'kiss the most beautiful girl' off the list.

Tis true
Everything makes me cry but I can't really remember too many specific films. The ones I do remember crying at are:
My Best Friends Wedding (The bit when they dance on the boat is so sad)
Walk The Line
The Green Mile

Brief Encounter, the 1946 original. I cried like an absolute baby at the ending, I'd managed to hold it in until her husband said "thank you for coming back to me." That opened the flood gates, that's for sure. It's a little twee and it hasn't dated incredibly well but if you're willing to forgive an at times over the top score and some dodgy acting now and again it is well worth your time. Just remember the tissues.

Too true, I actually cried myself to sleep after being made to watch that crap...by my own MOTHER!!!
Marley & Me was definetly the movie I cried the most watching, mainly because I was cuddled up with my lovley German Shepard when I was watching it.
I'll admit I cried when I watched the Disney version of Tarzan when I was about six or seven at the scene when the Mum gorilla/ape was killed ;-(
