Dressed ready for her first day Emilily studied her uniform, 'ick' she thought but it'd do. She doesn't look horrible, doesn't look brilliant. She has a plan of attack (so the saying goes) try hard in lessons, make some friends, don't get in too much trouble. Fingers crossed ...

Read on for the first activity.




"Girls. Welcome to St Colette's. I'm the Head Girl and I'll make your life hell if you annoy me. You can call me Corazie. There are a few rules that I'm supposed to tell you, but I'll just tell you the basics and let you figure out the rest on your own. God forbid, you could actually read the student handbook.
First off, and I see some of you already have it, your uniform is dark blue. Just the skirt needs to be dark blue really, a white top too. I'm all dressed up for the first day, and I'll be all dressed up next week too, when term starts. It starts to relax after that, but keep the skirt and shirt on."

I looked around at the rag tag of girls. This year was going to be fun.

"There's a new boys college next door, so I expect you to play nice. Just be back for six in the morning as that's when the demon headmistress does her rounds. That's all really. come see me privately if you want the handbook."

I turned and took a few steps towards the imposing building. The familiar thick walls and ancient wooden windows comforted me. I was home.

"Oh, yeah," I stopped and turned back round. "Three to a room, pick your room mates. You'll be with them all year. And come down to dinner dressed nicely. We make an event of the first nights back before the official start of term and lesson. Meet in the central courtyard and I'll show you to the refectory."

While the Head Girl was talking, Eve had been secretly taking pictures of the other girls around her. She groaned when she heard that uniforms consisted of blue skirts. The poor girl looked awful in blue. She would have to talk that head mistress and make her bend the rules a bit for her.

So many beautiful girls.....which ones should she choose as dormmates? Which ones to taint?

Eve's version of the uniform

Eve chuckled when the blonde girl named Isi squirmed at her camera's flash. What a cute girl.
"I like these earrings too," she replied. "My name is Eve."

She leaned forward and stared into Isi's eyes....How interesting, they were ice blue. They looked like they were chipped off of a diamond.

Eve lifted up her camera and took a snap again. "For future references, is all," she declared sweetly.

I looked at Isabella. "That's fine. You just need one more person. Why don't you go and decorate your room? There aren't any sheets on your bed, you'll have to do that yourself. I suggest you do too, as the first dinner always lasts for hours. Best to get unpacked first."

I'd reminded myself that I too had to unpack.

"I get a room to myself. Tea a biscuits at five if any one is interested. I should have unpacked by then."

I turned and walked away, finally, through the great archway to the inner courtyard with it's apple trees and short green grass.

Eve dropped her stuff in the dorm she was going to be staying for the rest of the school year. It was all bright, with fuchsia walls and an orange floorboard.

Oh my lord, she thought to herself. The two colours I hate the most.

But she smiled at Isi and said, "Oh, no it's perfectly fine. But I do hope I have a place in all of this."

I walked in to my new room. For the past two years, I had shared with to other girls and as I glanced around at the old fashioned wall paper and the cold wooden floor, I missed the comfort of my old friends. They had both left.

I had a lot of work to do and I slid my phone open, sending a text to the porter. In less than ten minutes he was outside my door with my boxes and cases and I thanked him. He winked at me before he left: we weren't supposed to use our mobile phones in the school.

I started pulling things out of my boxes and cases, piling everything up on the floor. I knew it would have been easier to do it methodically, but this was tradition. I made my bed and stacked my books, pulled a squat coffee table out of the wardrobe and exchanged it for my clothes. I pulled out sweets and bottles of iced tea and diet coke and lemonade and set them on the table. I hauled the old TV out from under the bed and put in in the middle of the desk.

It took a few hours, but I think my room looks pretty good. It certainly isn't sparse. Now all I have to do is wait for any new students to come by for tea and biscuits, and perhaps the student handbook. I pulled out my copy of Wicked by Sara Shepard and settled on my bed to read while I waited.

The contrast in Isi and eves room was inevitable the outburst of colour was fighting against the soft white and blue tones on eves side if only we knew what our other room mate would do to her bed she got up and followed eve to the head girls room shed never had afternoon tea before.

oh no me and my friends would go to a small cafe called marchellos and drink lates is that similar? England is so new to me .

its an italian cafe in times square ooh i do hope the tea is nice
