Re: jane norman

I don't like Jane Norman.
The clothes are pretty bad quality, and the mannequins sicken me.
They have size 6 on the mannequins and it's pinned back. The mannequins must be a UK 2 or something!

Agreed; I don't think it specialises in more curvy, average-sized women. I think it's great for petite sizes though; my friend always shops from there.

I do worry about the message it gives to younger girls though. The mannequins are disturbingly thin.

Re: jane norman

I find the clothes a bit odd, they look kind of late 90s, early 00s to me mixed with a strange dance workshop kind of aesthetic. I just think it's a bit immature for me. *shrug* I do have one shirt from there but I pcked it up in a charity shop and I haven't worn it in aaages. What is it you like about them personally? smile

Re: jane norman

i`ve never heard of that brand.
my clothes are either from other brands or just no-names, i never thought of going to the same store in order to buy stuff. also most of them are presents (i hate shopping with a passion).

Re: jane norman

The clothes look the same EVERY season. They just change the colours, and the patterns are the same. EURGH!

I would say that my top 3 clothes brands would be

1. River Island
2. New Look
3. Vivienne Westwood

Re: jane norman

1st of all Jane Norman is not a designer brand.
2. The clothes are awful, and the quality just as bad
3. @ Beauty Bimbo
Corazie wasnt criticizing people who are size 6, but the fact that the manequins are so small that the smallest size needs to be pinned in the bck in order to presentable.

Re: jane norman

I think the clothes from Jane Norman looks cheap, and as it is low quality... But that's just my opinion smile
My favourite designer is Roberto Cavalli. I love his designs... I also like a lot of Karen Millens designs..

Jane Norman is as much a designer label as topshop, miss selfridges, karen millen and reiss are.
its a high street brand selling designer 'inspired' looks.

Re: jane norman

I own like 3 things from there. Two dresses and a top. Oo! And a bag.

I agree with the comment on same clothes all the time, but some things in there are okay.
I like the trousers in there cos they aren't too long for me, and the waist is the right size. Pity I don't like many of the trousers they have.

Re: jane norman

I have a top from there, but I only ever consider buying something there if it's in the sale. I am petite by the way.

I have nothing against people a size six. I have friends that size and smaller and I used to be that size.

It's not designer. You can buy the same stuff from Quiz and RebelRebel and all of the shops in the market. Designer is Vivienne Westwood or Chloe or Dior. A designer shop is Cruise or Fenwicks or John Lewis.

Oh, and I love Vivienne Westwood. There's a shop in town next to the Theatre Royal and I just stare in the window for ages drooling.

Re: jane norman

FYI

I am a window dresser for Jane Norman,

the Manequins are dressed with a size 10 always. a size six simply wouldnt fir the manequin. the bust forms (the ones that sit on the shelves) sometimes need a in the bottoms.

they are pinned back because the back of the manequin is flat therefore you need to pin to ensure a good fit on the manequin.

you can get copy's of Jane Norman clothes in Quiz etc same as they do copies of river island topshop etc.

just thought i would clear that up for y'all!
