Ok so Ive read the books and seen the show. What I like is the show has gone its own direction and isnt sticking with the book's story line. I love Damen and his sense of humor. He is why my crazy mother actually watches. I must say I love his sense of humor the most. the anti twilight joke and the amazing  race joke will always put a smile on my face.

They just started showing it here in Denmark a few weeks ago. My first thought was "ohhhhhh no, not another Twilight-ish series!" But I'm giving it a chance though. I've only seen a few episodes, but I haven't found any good things in it...

Wow! I didn't know that much.  L.J. Smith's Night World books are also similar to the Twilight ones, they were written in the 90's also....There's a character named Jasper and one named James.  (One of them's a doctor.)

exactly, which is good because you have a huge book for a reasonable price. also, even though it focuses on new characters in each book, some of the old get mentioned or appear in others. so if you really liked someone in one of the stories, don't worry, they wont disappear forever

I agree, but Damon was so mesmerized by her, I don't think he cared who's fault it was.  I found Catherine to be skanky and annoying.
