What does Wikipedia say about "Merlin"?

Merlin is a British television drama series that began in 2008. It is based on the Arthurian legends of the mythical wizard Merlin and his relationship with Prince Arthur, but differs significantly from traditional versions of the myth. Produced by independent production company Shine Limited for BBC One, the programme was designed to run in the same Saturday evening family drama slot as other UK series such as Doctor Who and Robin Hood. The second series began airing on 19 September 2009.

Well, the special effects are not really amazing, but nobody watches "Merlin" for special effects!
Why do fans watch it? Why should you start watching it?

For the irreplaceable duo - Arthur and Merlin (Bradley James & Colin Morgan)! They are adorable, charming and funny! You can't not love them! It's OTP!

I love Merlin! It was like the first British drama to aire in the US for a long time - well that's what they said on E4 when they interviewed them tongue

Last week I was waiting to see the 5th episode, and was like "WTF?". And then, God bless the internet, I discovered that I'll have to wait another week. I can't wait to see the next episode.

Oh yes, I love Merlin. Even if it's different to the real Merlin story, I think I actually like it better.

Gaius is the best character. He's just so cool! big_smile
Arthur is totally sexy, but then again I'd take Lancelot any day. bave2

In legend Morgause is Arthur's step sister and the mother of their child - Mordred. Though in some legends she's combined with Morgana [la Fey - her sister] into one person. That's why some legends say that Morgana is Mordreds mother.

I never expected her to appear, because I thought there will be only Morgana - and with that bound between her and Mordred... Srsly.

I just finished watching 5th episode. And I'm speachless.

I can't belive Merlin couldn't make it to the wedding. I was so happy, that he will show Kathrine's real face, so everyone can see who she really was. But then... nothing. I can't wait 'til the next episode. I can tell I'll be bouncing in my chair next Sunday.
I also was a little disappointed, because there were like three scenes with Athur. And only one with his teeth in sight. hmm And no Morgana drama. But whatever.

I live in Poland, so of course none of our TV stations shows Merlin when it's showing in UK and without dubbing and unfortunately I don't have BBC One. I usually download most of TV shows I watch from rapidshare or hotfile. I just can't share it or something like that, and have to delete it before 24 hours of download. So it's not really a problem.

And it gives me a chance to watch my favourite TV shows [some are American] with subtitles - which means, understand them completely.

I feel really weird, because there's a forum, where writing one-line posts is forbidden, so I always write something long and big, no matter where I write it. And there you are, expressing your thoughts in just one or two lines. ^^

Celebka, it's not forbidden to write less than one line. It's pointless posts and less than 3 words that are. Yet everybody does it and I haven't seen anyone banned because of it yet. Don't worry about it. smile

On the show Mordred isn't Morgana's child though so I don't know what link you're talking about. hmm I haven't seen Series 2 yet though so if it's anything to do with that, I guess I"ll find out.

I downloaded series 1 from Vuze. If you want to download it, just type in BBC Merlin otherwise you could get all kinds of other movies/shows. smile

You could probably search to see if any sites stream it online.

Also, about watching online I think you can watch it on tvlinks though I'm not 100% sure. It's worth looking though(!) big_smile

I watch so many tv shows he probably thinks I'm crazy. smile

6th episode was amazing. ^^ It was funny and there was a lot of Bradley. I really love Arthur and Merlin together, as friends. I'll say it again, they're OTP.
I hope we we'll see more Morgana and Gwen this saturday. I miss them. smile

Oh, and when I saw what's the next episode going to be about, I freaked out. O.O

Yeah, things they did to Gaius were terrible.

But I cried like a baby watching 8th episode. And that's says something, because I never, EVER effin' cry. Only when something happens to my fav characters.

It was AMAZING. Watching Arthur suffer is like watching Chuck Bass from Gossip Girl suffer - I can't stand it. And when Bradley's sad, he looks like a sad puppy, and as much as I'm not really a big fan of animals, it just breaks my cold heart.
I loved the part where his mother appeared. God, I cried so hard it was ridiculous. The same when he tried to kill Uther, and when he said he thinks magic is bad, thanks to Merlin.

Poor Arthur for you.

Can't wait for next episode! Saw that sigle tear falling from Merlin's eye! big_smile
