Night World
A fabulous fantasy/horror series by LJ Smith published 1996-1998. It has recently been reprinted in three omnibus books.
I first read Secret Vampire when I was 9, and thank god for the reprints, because it no longer has the cover.
The Laws of the Night World
1) Never allow humans to gain knowledge of the Night World's existence
2) Never fall in love with one of them.

I actually have the first three books although I've not read them yet. I got the first three from Asda for £4 (it's a 3-in-1 book thing).
I'll read it and then post here

I adore the Night World series. My sister got the first one free in a magazine and I totally fell in love with it and had to get the others. It's crazy how long we've had to wait for Strange Fate though.

This is such an awesome series. Started reading them when my friend did. My favorite is Daughters of Darkness.

I like the fact that I first read them when I was younger... I can appreciate the plots and reasoning more now.

Have you been on her website? She has some more stories written up with characters from the Night World series. I tried to read The Vampire Diaries series but I hated the main character too much - she was a total Sue!
