I've never read any FF, I just never thought about it I guess.
There's such an age difference between Riddle and Hermione.
Yeah but then people introduce time travel and all things
I love FF it's great, theres so many different pairings

I can't wait to see the new film. 2 DAYS.

Oh, well that makes sense. I guess they figure out a different way to time travel because in Order of the Phoenix they smashed all the time turners by accident.

I'm really looking forward to seeing the movie too, they are having a midnight showing where I live but only at one of the theaters & we have 6 if that tells you the size of the city so I will be skipping it, plus I have a 3 week old so my hubby & I decided to wait a couple weeks and just go to a matinee. It's not like I don't know what happens. He hasn't read the books but I bought the xbox game, and he watched me beat it so he knows the gist of the story.

Oh, I love fanfics
I usually just read them, but I have been known to dabble in writing xD

I wanna see it before all the children finish school. I like children but when I am trying to watch a movie, I don't want to hear talking etc.

So I want to know who your favorite character is and why? And how tell me how long you've liked the character....Like Harry from the 1st time he was dropped off on the Dursley's doorstep or Snape after seeing his memories?

I am definitely joining this one
And the sig is just perfect !!
I always liked Snape.
Dunno why, but he always intimidated me !
I loved Ron from the beginning as well
He is my love

I loved Ron from the beginning.
At the start of Deathly Hallows I hated Snape, but by the end of the book, and after finding out about him and him secrets; I loved him.

I've always loved Ron
I always liked Snape too but now he killed Dumboldore so I hate him now

When it comes to the Deathly Hallows, I knew something wasn't right !
Why would Dumbledore defend him every time Harry said semething bad about him, or had bad concerns when it came to Snape. So I was really confused when Snape killed him.

I still love Snape.
I almost cried when I found out he cared for Harry, just like he cared for Lily.

Yeah me too.
I knew there had to be a reason even though I was so angry with Snape. I felt so bad for him in Deathly Hallows.

Ooo wonderful group!

And actually, I had guessed at the Lily and Snape thing a while before the end of the series. *pats self on back* Actually, for whatever reason, I thought it was like common knowledge! My one friend and I got the final book together (actually, we were the ones selling them at our local library
) and she can read much faster than me, so when she got to the Lilly&Snape business she mentioned it out loud and I was just like "I thought we already knew that?" Apparently I'm just insane or something.
But so I found this smilie (if you're in the Gryffindor thread, you've already seen quite a few of these, lol) a while ago and it just fits too well for me to not share it with you all!
As for favorite character, Fred Weasley for sure! And I believe it was from the time him and his brother sang the the Hogwarts song to that slow funeral march type deal and were left the last ones singing.
That and they both played Quidditch! (And their offer to send their sister a toilet seat at the beginning was just too good!) I just thought Fred and George were hysterical and I often found myself wishing to be either Lee Jordan or Angelina Johnson so that I would have hung out with them, haha! And I suppose I liked Fred a bit more because he tended to be the one to start the clever comments, although with George it obviously wouldn't have been the same. I most certainly went into denial when Fred died though.
I actually still haven't quite come to terms with it, heh.

I still can't believe how many characters actually died in the last book.

I was just getting over the death of Dumbledore (yes it took a while) when the last book came out and then it was like Hedwig BAM Moody BAM Dobby BAM BAM.
I had to read the end just to check Harry didn't die. If he died I wouldn't have read the book. If I didn't read the book it wouldn't have happened.

Even in Half-Blood Prince, I could tell there was more to the story. I wanted to hate Snape, but I also knew that Dumblebore had good reasons for trusting him.

Sorry I had to chuckle that you read the end before the beginning. I have done that with other books, I'm glad I'm not the only one. I read Deathly Hallows really fast so that I could find out what happened.
~~How can you choose one twin over the other? I'm curious only because they are so similar.

It had to be done. I was worried of reading the paper, watching the tv or going on the net in case someone told me so I though I'll just see if he lives or not and see who dies.
Some were a shock though: Moody, Hedwig and Dobby were in the start/middle of the book so they hit me like BAM. The others I saw because they were at the end.
I will always remember being in Asda at 12am getting the book for my Sister (mine was coming in the post as my borther preordered mine for my birthday). The queue was soo long: I pushed in. And stood in the queue nearly crying when I read Harry lived
.

I was on Vacation when my book came in the mail, so I didn't watch tv, listen to the radio, or read the paper until I got home and finished the book. So I understand entirely!
I was more upset when Dobby died than I was when anyone else did. I always loved the house-elves. I was so disappointed when they didn't include them in the GoF movie.

Awhh I know. I always expected Dobby would come through in the end and be a vital part of the last book. He was a vital part but I can't believe Rowling killed him. It was upsetting with Lupin though. . . With Tonks dying too and leaving little Teddy :'(.
I was always hoping that Sirius would come back.
