I don't want this thread to turn into a debate at all, and it's not my intention, and mods, if this isn't an appropriate topic, please feel free to take it away...but i've been thinking about the whole "babies in the future of miss bimbo" thing today, and it disturbs me. I don't mean to offend anyone with different views, or disrespect anyone...and I hope that anyone who replies to this will keep the same respect for others.
I feel like Miss Bimbo is a game full of a VERY big age range as far as players go. We have older women, and young girls, some not even 13 yet. The whole "boob job" goal always upset me, because I worry what does it say to young girls...you need big boobs to be prettier? But because it's not like girls can run out and just get a boob job when they are that young, it doesn't seem to irk me as much. But with this baby issue....by making babies an option in this game, to me, it's like we're saying babies are "trendy" and "cool"...and "ohh look at all the cute tiny clothes you can buy for your Bimbo's baby"...is that the kind of impression we want young teen girls to get?
I know it's just a game, and some might think i'm over-reacting, but I feel that even though it's a game, some of the responsibility falls on MissBimbo and the older girls here to be good role-models for others... babies should NEVER be viewed as trendy. And I don't want younger girls to get that impression. Young teens are VERY impressionable. And it would be a heck of a lot easier for them to figure out a way to get a "cute, trendy" baby in real life, than a "cute, trendy" boob job.
Does anyone agree on this with me?

I see your point. But im sure that they would do all in their power to not make it look like its just and accessorie. Like they have made the pets.

thanks for your opinion :] i think that's part of the problem...that they aren't pets. And it will make younger girls see them, or compare them to that. When it's impossible to compare the two IRL, like apples and oranges.

I don't like this idea also because I think it's going to take away from the "Sexy. glamorous" theme of the site. Having a baby is like "ok i have a baby, i have to settle down now".

The pets are quite clearly some cute to dress up and look good on your profile. THey are just another accessory to make your bimbo look good. If that is what they are going to do with the baby then this site is just disgusting.

i COMPLETELY agree with this...I have to believe maybe they just haven't thought the baby thing out enough yet...but I don't know. I'd also like to think maybe they'll see how many of us are against it, and change their minds....but they sure haven't listened much to what new things WE, here online, want from the game. And maybe that's not true...but...to me, it's what it seems like a lot of the time. I feel like i'm being mean by saying that..but it's how I feel.

I'm am totally unsure about this.
Yes, everyone has a point here. But, I have to say I think that the way someone has thought up the idea of dolls with private parts on them and then selling them to young kids is disgusting. Which brings me to the point that this site is for "young teens" and bringing babies to the site will make those teens realise that having a baby is hard work and won't influence them in any way. As with the Bimbo, you have to look after it and feed her and whatever. The same goes for the pets. Pets are hard work too.
So, my point is, that bringing babies to the site will not only make teens learn that kids are hard work to deal with but also make them less likely to have children when they are so young.
Another thing is that if they do decide to bring babies onto the site, is to make them a little more needy so they need looking after more often (which brings up the thing about making kids realise that babies are hard work.)
Other than that, I think that everyone has a really good point about kids coming on this site and seeing that you can have a family. (That doll thing with private parts though is really disgusting as kids are more likely to not know what they are and start asking really awkward questions to their parents EWW!)

Is anybody going to connect those two topics

This is nonsense. No website baby is in anyway going to show someone the amount of work needed to care for one in any way shape or form. Thinking it will is incredibly naive. Babies need CONSTANT attention, care, and real hard work. That can not be done on an internet game.

wich was what i ment
That they would not make em be like the pets. And i agree on that it would call forth a new media scandale. But then again it is about a year ago that everything started settleling down after the first one. Maybe its their form of commercials

As far as the baby issue is concerned, I see two ways of a bimbo's future:
-either settle down and be less bimbo-ish
-either turn the baby into an accesory
One way I'd suggest to avoid the last one would be not to have many trendy clothes for the baby.
And make the baby NOT to give BA.
Maybe even have them TAKE some BA from the mother, since it's a great deal of work to take care of a baby and this way I think that only a bimbo who really wants one will choose to have one. Virtually, of course.
Because I can see how some would want one just for the daily BA.
Another suggestion would be to make the babies available only to high level bimbos. This way, only serious users will have the right to take care of a baby. And by being high-leveled, they prove they can be responsible.
So, like someone has said above me, it can teach young users that a baby really is hard work to take care of and it takes dedication. I feel very sorry that some users' pets died, but I can't possibly think of dying, depressed or underweight babies. Even virtual ones. I just can't.
Also make the babies often hungry and dirty, like the animals. It takes 30 minutes to clean the kitty litter. It can take you some time to take the baby a bath or change him or sing him to sleep.
I rest my case by saying (once more) that from what I've read throughout this forum, the baby idea was not popular among suers. So I have no idea what made them chose this among their plans of improvement

i don't think that a site like Miss bimbo can teach a child that having babies is a hard job!!! not even the sims could teach me that! all i could do with a kid on Miss bimbo is feed it and dress it up, like i do with my pet! where's the responsibility!!?!?!??! where???
did this site teach you that in a relationship it's important to love your partner and not to use him only for money??!?!?!?!? i don't think so!!
our bimbos have an unmoral life here. they change boys like socks, just to take their money! just to complete goals, to buy new clothes and be sexy and pretty ! and that's all!!!! this isn't a site for babies! it just isn't!

I emailed support about it. I told them about about all the complaining going on here and why it's not a good idea.
I wonder what the reply will be!

Maybe they will make it an option for people of certain ages like starting at 25 or something, but then again lots of people like about their age....
I can see how some problems would occur due to the addition of babies.

I've always thought how bimbo-ish is to get rid of your partner just to advance... in life? In real life we don't have to leave our boyfriends in order to get a better job (unless we sleep with our bosses, but that's even more disgusting). Maybe only if we have to leave the country for good and work overseas. But even then, if we really love each other, we'd stick together.
-I understand that a boyfriend can give you money (just like parents do) especially if you live with him and you share expenses. And it's nice of him to give you financial support in between jobs (or if you gain far less than him). But just breaking up to get a richer one...
-I also understand we shouldn't settle down with someone who really doesn't deserve us. Some guys are jerks and we all know that. But we should have a serious reason when breaking-up with them. And so should they. In real life, break-ups are really hard. And usualy none of the partners gets over it so quickly.
...Yeah I know it's just a game. But I've been thinking about young users a lot lately. And I don't want them to get this kind of influence. The weight and the surgery problems were enough. We don't need more controversy over here. At least that's my opinion.
My personal goal is to stop advancing when I get Kounette. But I'll only have virtual babies (with him hopefuly
) when I'll be sure I can take care of them.
Also I didn't buy the pet just because I had 9000 BD and for its 100 BA a day, but because I felt I had a steady income and the right time ammount to take care of it properly.
What if suddenly they make a goal out of letting our pet to die? Or baby? NOOOOO!

Personally, I hate the idea. This is meant to be a FASHION game.
Since when are babies a fashion item???
Also if they make this a prominent part of the game you HAVE to do to level up... Well, it wouldn't be fair to players. I don't want to have a baby on this site, it's disgusting.
Offline

I don't like any imagery or any instances in which teens or pre-teens talk about having babies. Not the world's hugest fan of the surgery or ditching boyfriends for new jobs, but it's no big deal.
As a 14-year-old, you can't just go out and get lipo at the drop of a hat, you can, however, just go get yourself pregnant. I think we are on some level responsible for the worldview we present. Even though I'm sure almost all of the younger players know better, I don't want to play on a site where kids accessorize their flakey fashionista with a baby.
Besides, as somebody said above, doesn't really fit with the game ethos. How about we give the bimbo aging parents that she has to care for or visit in a home every day!! You could have to show them a photo album to remind them who you are, or bring your mum flowers or something!

i seriously doubt that having the option to purchase a baby on the site will adversely affect any child who uses this site. ladies, have we forgotten Mommy and Me Barbie? The My Little Pony, baby ponies? Bratz baaabiiz? thousands of baby themed toys exist ir so that children as young as 3 can pretend to be mommies. ontop of that i am sure there are a lot of mothers playing this game who might find it fun to buy a baby similar to their own real kids.
as long as it doesnt become a requirement and bimbo isnt forced to make a baby to pass a level, i'm cool with it.

Won't someone PLEASE think of the children??!!??
Sorry, couldn't resist LOL
Seriously though, I agree with Bibichanel. This game getting babies isn't going to destroy the moral fabric of society. One, it's the parents responsibility to make sure their monitoring their child's internet usage. If your kid isn't mature enough to understand that this is a game, not real life, they don't need to be playing period.
But personally I think the idea of babies just goes against the idea of the game. I think Zezie said in another thread "This is Miss Bimbo, not Miss Housewife". Please Miss Bimbo Admin, don't make me take care of another husband in my virtual life. The real one is messy enough, and I already have a hard time making sure he stays fed.
But what do I know, I'm sleep deprived and have no idea why I'm awake right now.

Considering how many girls become a mother so early these days, it may not be the best idea to have babies here.
But apart from that, I simply don't like the idea. I don't want a baby, and I think this "baby hype" is crazy (not only here, I see many young girls who really WANT their own baby). Why? This is a fashion game, I wanna have fun here and not feeding a baby (or my boyfriend
).
A baby is not a fashion accessoir.

My guess is that it will become a requirement.. after all in the announcement, they said we can't add new levels with out new features.
This is a new feature.. so will more than likely be involved in levels some how.

having pets was never a requirement to level-up, but i will be really annoyed if babies is b/c i really don't want one.
i AM excited about boyfriends you can dress up though!
