I think I'd love a corset. Whenever I watch movies set in the past and the girls were complaining about their corset, I'd just think: "I can take it. It's beautiful. I want to wear it."

I LOVE corsets.
I love the feel of them, and I love what they do to my body shape. They straighten my back, pull me in a tad, and give me a hell of a lot of confidence.
I also just like the look of them. In general my style is what would be termed as goth/fetish with occasional/slight overtones of victorian/steampunk. Corsets fit neatly into my look. <3
I do hate all the "pretend corsets", plastic boned things that do absolutely sod all. Too many people think that that is what a corset is and should be...

I have one real one, steel boning, that I saved up birthday money and spent a few hundred dollars on! I think corsets are absolutely beautiful, and I adore mine. I love the way it makes me look and feel... plus, it's really pretty!
I also agree that "fakies" are worthless...the "boning" is so flimsy it often makes people look worse rather then better, because you get weird bulges.

I would love to own a corset someday. I want to save up for one from this site:

They have such lovely designs~

I'd love one. I like my waist a lot, so something that would make it better, wow. The ribcage/organ thing has been proven not to be too damaging I think (sure I read it somewhere, but the article was bias towards the corset).

I actually love the feeling of my tummy being sucked in. I feel secure.
And they make me sit up straight XD
I'm perfectly comfortable with my body without them, but I think they're very pretty, too :]
By the way, if you're into corsets, check out jupitermoon3.com
She's amazing =3

Of course real.
I have 3 corsets, and all of them are gorgeous.
I actually dieted to fit into one, because it was 24 inches natural.
Of course now my natural waist is slimmer, but at that time I restricted my calories to the point I was borderline bulimic/anorexic.
Of course, being careful, corsets are extremely good for posture. My posture is better now even without one, and as a result I have less aches (was/is avid reader) from being hunched over.

That's because they wore them all day, everyday.
I could never do that xD

I find some people can totally pull them off [HELLO, dita von teese!
]
but others just look gross in them.
it depends how you wear it.

I love corsets. I own a few fake ones (plastic boning ick) and I am currently making a real steel boned one in my wardrobe design class.

I would love to try one, seriously >_< but my posture....woudl make it really hard for me to wear it, I would be the first to admit that one XP

And they were major waist-trainers. A lot of people only wear them on occassion nowadays.

I have a small waist any way so don't need to waist train... I don't think I'd enjoy it, it'd make it even harder to find clothes that fit!
Offline

They look wonderful on you btw!
I love the look of corsets, but not when they are tightlaced extremely small. They create beautiful curves for any woman of any shape and are just glamorous... I would wear a real one if I could afford it! I still like the fake ones, I have one, and a vest that dresses up like a full corset at the back.. I quite fancy them.

The way them look are really nice but I don´t want to wear them cause I think it is difficult to breathe in them and they are not really my style.

If I actually had been bothered to eat right, I'd definitively gone for something like that.
And what about Mr. Pearl? I wish I could get a waist like that, really.

I'm a guy, and I don't like them much on girls. I'm not real big on boobs and curves, and that's like the king of them. But I do like people doing interesting things with fashion, so I appreciate it all.

i lurve corsets...i have one where the ribbs are made of a semi-flexible bonelike material...can't remember what the lady said, but it mostly used when i'm in costume or wearing Aristocrat Loli gear....make it look that much more beautiful

I want one! they look hott lol. I wouldn't wear it all the time or trim my waist too much, I just would like to have more of an hour-glass figure.
