I don't know how to borrow from my library for my nook. I really need to find out... perhaps I'll go to Barnes and Nobles and ask.

So I just tried my library out, and my card isn't recognized. Guess I am going to the library tomorrow to get a new one. I think it has been expired for at least 5 years.
I still thought it would recognize the number though and at least be all YOU FAIL! Instead of it being unavailable, oh well I will find out tomorrow.

That was a lovely story Lida. I'm glad that a random also recognized it.

so I went in today and since it had been over 3 years since my card expired so I had to fill out all new information, and I have a shiny new card now.
I was banned by my local library when I was in middle school
I had too many damaged books. I'm a foxer when it comes to books. The first thing I do is break the spine for easier flipping. I still can't get a library card there, and I'm 23 now.

It's a good thing that I have this bookclub for keeping track of the books I have read. I am going through my books pile and I couldn't remember if I had read it, and then I thought it was one of the book club books and it was. Then I remembered that I had read it and what was in it. But for some reason I totally didn't recognize the cover at all.

I'm absolute crap with titles- especially if I've read more than one thing by the author. I could not tell you any of the Vonnegut stuff I've read- hell, I don't even know the title of the book I'm reading now.

I used to be that way with all the Mary Higgins Clark books. I am pretty sure I read most of hers back in high school, and I stopped reading them when I had read so many in a row that I could tell who was the killer from the start because she had the same format. In most series I have to read the back because I can't remember what happened in that one from the title.
Speaking of which, what happened in Perks of being a Wallflower? I can't remember anything of that and the back doesn't really shed any light on it either.

Ugh...that's the one with the kid...I remember he becomes friends with the cool kids and they go driving and he likes it or something. I don't know, I've read it like 3 times and never remember. The movie is coming out soon though.

All I remember from Perks of Being a Wallflower is the Rocky Horror Picture Show club where someone pretended to have sex with the giant Gumby doll.
One of my friends in an actor and played Frankenfurter in Rocky Horror. He posts pictures of his plays on his facebook. That was a sight that will take years for me to get over, ew!

It's the modern day teen version of "Catcher in the Rye." He's an outcast and struggling to figure out where he belongs... yadda yadda yadda and then in the last few pages some giant secret comes out and you get no resolution. It's written as a series of letters.
Got the book club book in today!

Haha. Library via the nook books? I'm almost afraid to get started on that!
