I found something similar- i started at 10, and its only in the past few years that they've gotten bad, although i usually find they are only a problem the first day or two

i didn't get cramps until i started birth control, and they were absolutely horrible, i couldnt move any part of my lower body without a jab to my midsection
you know those icy-hot brand patches they make for back pain that you just stick on to your back, they're adhesive?
they do make ones for menstrual cramps, but the back ones are bigger and spread the heat out more, and work better for me
anyway i use the back ones and they stay hot for hours, and it eases the pain a bit. that with some pain killers and some really salty chips, and im good to go for a bit.

I have been quite fortunate then. My period started when i was 12 and the cramps were awful, my period lasted up to a week and i suffered the whole time. Now that i'm 19 my period lasts on average four days, the first day has manageable pain and then i'm pain free for the next couple of days. To manage the pains, i filled a hot water bottle and kept that with me at all times possible, that eased the cramps a bit for me.

Mine used to be pretty bad (I used to take a day off school each month :S) but have definitely been better since I've been on the pill, though my doctor seems to think I shouldn't get cramps at all, well I dang well do, they're just not quite so bad. And now my period is usually about 5 days instead of the 7 or 8 it used to be.

Is he male :3
I remember a few years back there was some doc coming on air everywehere telling people that PMS was "all in the mind"
Really. Care to explain why I fainted from pain every month until I got on the pill?
If only every male had one actual period.....

Bad but usually only for the first day. I've figured out how to avoid by taking medication before the pain begins - if that's successful it's slightly better. But I have had those days when I can barely move, even fainted.

My doctor's actually female, i guess being such a busy person as a doctor you can't let a little pain get in the way of anything, maybe she just doesn't notice!
That guy was obviously an idiot though! All in the mind, yeah sure, and all the blood you have to clean up during your period is just in your mind too!

I used to faint too, the pain was so baaaaaad. Now it only gets really bad when I haven't had a sugar overload xD
You name the painkiller, I had it =/
I used to get migranes too. Strange that they also stopped when I went on the pill :s

I'm the put-me-out-of-my-misery-type, sometimes it gets so bad it feels like I can't even walk. :s And nothing really helps either.

i have the kind of cramps that you don't feel good until you throw up

I used to get cramps really bad they used to have me nearly in tears then I grew to blank the pain alittle and take some anadin which killed the pain. Once I gave birth to my son I stopped suffering with cramps can only hope it stays that way even after the 2nd child is born.

I haven't had any bleeding or cramps since I started on a different contraceptive pill
It's fab!

I never used to get them at all, then after a few years I would get them occassionally.
for the first year after I had my son though, I would get them bad, and also really moody and irritable before my period which has never happened in the past. Hormone overload? Any way, they're back to normal now, with no cramps. I have weird periods though. My last lot....I had my period light for about 3 days and then 2 weeks later had a normal one.

i get it bad as well but lucky for me the pain is only for the first day , the other 4 im totally fine.
and also apart from the pains i get really dizzy as well as throwing up , thats the part i find hardest to deal with even though i know it will only last for that one day

Oh my gosh, they're horrible. I switched birth controls (which I got on to help the cramps in the first place, but they were messing with me in other ways), and since I did, I dread it. I have to curl up on my bed with some midol, an icy-hot patch and some chocolate. My husband knows better than to make me angry when I'm cramping, lol.
I need to switch again, and I plan to when I go to the doctor in a couple of weeks.

I used to get them really bad, as in I'd be retching and unable to move with the pain (definitely on a par with labour, and I had a breech baby!) but now I'm on some medication that stops my periods entirely. It's a bit disconcerting, and I keep taking pregnancy tests as the medication makes me make breastmilk as well!

I don't get them at all! Whoo! I just get a really bad backache the first day.

I got my menstruation when I was 11. I am 16 now and it's still completely irregular..
I haven't got pains from it yet, but I guess that'll change sooner or later e__e

They hurt enough for me to take 2 midol. So...pretty bad but not so much that I'm crying or anything.

mine are terrible, i have to take loads of painkillers and if i don't then they make me cry

It depends what overy (sp?) they come from, i always know when im having a heavy period and when its the left one, because they are so painful i cant talk, but i always know when im having a light one and from the right, because i cant feel them until i lay down .. which sucks when im tired
