I'm curious about girls' attitudes towards setting up friends for dates. It seems like a Catch-22: if a guy did need your help finding a date, would you want him dating your friends? Or would you rather hook him up with someone you didn't know that well?

Depends how well I know him and if I think they're a good fit. Chances are I would know the girl pretty well and she would trust my judgement in going out with him. So I'd only do it if I was absolutely sure they'd like each other.

Sure I will, but only if I feel the girl is suitable and absolutely well matched with him. I wouldn't do it just for the fun of it, though, because I really do love my friends, and as much as I'd love to see him happy, I wouldnt want to be the one who introduced Ms Misery to him. And nope, I wouldn't set him up with a random girl I don't know that well. Might as well make two of my close friends happy at once if I'm going to.

And of course, provided that I'm not crushing on him secretly as well! haha

I love setting people up on dates. It's gotten to the point that my single friends, both boys and girls, get nervous when I call and see if they want to hang out with me and someone else. They start to think that I am going to set them up with that person. I hate when it doesn't work out though, it makes me feel like I caused someone heart ache.

I probably wouldn't, but only because I don't have a very big pool of friends to draw from lol. Most of my friends know all my other friends, and if they don't then there's probably a reason. I don't like mixing my groups of friends, I always feel like it would be too weird.

it depends.....if they are friends then of course i will set up a date for them, if they asked.
but sometimes it ends up going wrong. i do tend to avoid being a matchmaker. xx

If either he or she showed some vague interest, I'd talk to the other one. So Iwould det it up if my guy friend asked, or if my girlfriend was interested in my guy friend. ususally I just invite the people I think would totally get along and love love love each other (romantically or not) to the same thing and introduce them.

Sure, I play matchmaker all the time.
