I'm guessing not many think it's "sexy"... but I think most boys wouldn't care about the scars. They're not especially "sexy" but they're not ugly either.

it's the person that counts, y should a scar make any difference if u fancy them or not. it makes everyone unique in one way or another.

there was a really cute girl who worked locally, one day I noticed all these cuts down her arms that looked in the pattern of self-inlicted... I was put off her. I know a bit about depression, but witnessing the danger of someone cutting into their own skin to make permanent marks out of misery is a worry.

That said, such marks are not "repulsive" in themselves - lookswise, the problem is that they send a message that  a) the lady comes with suicidal emotional baggage and b) she is very free with a knife (something that a man and his body doesn't want to worry about.. if you know what I mean.)

Are they a "turn off"? I would easily overlook that detail on someone that I like/

Are they a "turn on"? Never. They will never enhance a womans sexiness or prettiness.

sure scars can be intriguing or yeah sexy, but not ones that you did yourself! i dont think people would be put off by the marks or anything but if people are going to let themselves care about you, they need to know they arent going to have to be worrying about your safety or state of mind constantly. if you dont cut any more it isnt an issue. scars that happened in an interesting way are interesting. some people enjoy blood and knives in foreplay, my friend ruth does, but its no reason to be cutting yourself. if you get with someone that does happen to like playing with knives then i suggest you make sure you know how to say no, that they would care if you did and that you both really know what youre doing with regards to cutting and aftercare. honestly id advise against it altogether. said friend has marks on her breasts that will scar if she does it much longer (not deep cuts, just scratches) and she is extremely self-conscious about her looks and has low esteem, and i think when shes ready to help herself feel better, those scars are going to be a huge obstacle in her way. atm she doesnt care because she thinks shes ugly anyway, which she isnt. honestly i think any fetishes like this should be only done by responsible and secure adults in long-standing relationships or by a professional, not casually.

Scars can be sexy, but if they're from a negative experience - self harm, a fight or accident - then I'd be more understanding about it if they felt unattractive because of them.

I don't see why goth = into scars or self harm. Lots of people who are into that stuff are pretty "normal"

I have a few scars, they aren't from self harm though.
Some have interesting/funny stories and a couple have some quite sad stories.
I think scars can make you unique, no-one is going to have exactly the same scars as you!

I just hope that you got (get)  mental help and are no longer into the self mutilation of cutting.
