What do you think of them?
I generally don't think celebrities should be seen as role models but really I just wouldn't want to see young kids dressed like the pussy cat dolls or singing some of the songs they sing.
And I'm not usually a prude. But seeing their video for their new song totally brought this new opinion in my mind!

They're still around?? I'll need to look up this new video, I can only imagine that it's going to be trashy and untasteful......... I miss the days of Steps and Aqua

They're a Vegas act, and should remain that way. IMHO.

I miss Steps and Aqua too. They were so talented!

I'm just feeling like they should try and tame themselves a bit more.

There's no straightforward answer. PCD's main appeal is their sex appeal, which they showcase through suggestive dance moves and revealing clothing. Sure, one or two of their songs have been radio hits, but who's really paying attention to the music? (I don't follow them these days, but a few years ago when they released their first album, didn't they have only one singer and like five backup dancers? further evidence to support the point that music is secondary and image is primary to them.)
I think PCD are fine for teen and adult audiences, probably best suited to the Vegas/LA crowd. I don't think they should be role models for little girls or pre-teen girls, and I hope the parents of these girls don't condone any PCD-ish style of dress or dance that their kids might try to emulate.

BAD. I can't believe this could even be up for debate. They are strippers!!!! And the song lyrics? I'm not too familiar with their music, but I have heard many a young girl running around singing 'don't you wish your girlfriend was hot like me'. aside from the obvious answer of 'no', this is a really poor message to be sending out to people. I can only imagine how all the cheated-on women out there must feel about this song.

Hey Leigha.....you gotta have the number taken out of your user name. People have less respect for us if we use numbers...lol:

You are correct there. That wasn't the reason for 33...I've been using those numbers for a long time and me being 33 just happens to coincide with the number now. Hope my little 33 doesn't give you a bad impression of me....lol."my little" lol
awhh how cute.
it doesn't because i've seen you type some sense.. haha but no offence - if i saw your name, and nothing you'd written, no picture, no signiture, no thing - i'd have a little less respect for you. haha idk why maybe it's just me + numbers?I guess that's your issue...we all have them. And no offense taken.

I think that they are fun to dance to and fun to see their clothes, but that's from an adult point view-i'm old enough to understand the message.
Now, for the younger crowd....absolutely a bad role model and their latest song is basically drilling it into young minds that when they grow up they SHOULD want to be famous and in movies. (that song is sooooo repetitive and i heard it going to work and coming back from work-so annoying lol!)

Are these the type of songs you want you young or pre-teen daughter singing? I know I certainly don't!
Typical
Hardly the type I fall for
I like when the physical
Don't leave me asking for more
I'm a sexy mama
Who knows just how to get what I wanna
What I want to do is spring this on you
Back up all of the things that I told you
You've been saying all the right things all night long
But I can't seem to get you over here to help take this off
Baby, can't you see?
How these clothes are fitting on me
And the heat coming from this beat
I'm about to blow
I don't think you know
I'm telling you loosen up my buttons baby
But you keep fronting
Saying what you going do to me
But I ain't seen nothing

Why are we making disparaging remarks about the strippers? Where is the love that the strippers deserve? Oh yes I forgot it is in the couch dance room. Anyone who uses dancers as roll models should have their head examined.

Quite possibly the worst thing to happen to the English language since 'Fo Shnizzle my MoFo'
They are talentless and rely solely on the art that many a stripper perfected before them.

I like them. Just because I like the music and they really can dance. My daughter likes them too. I have to monitor what she hears of theirs, but most of it she can listen to. I let my kids choose what they like. I have my daughter who likes chicks that sing, Taylor Swift, Gretchen Wilson, PCD and Pink are a few, my older son likes scream metal and my baby son loves only country. I am not looking for the PCD to be a role model for my kids, or any other artist actually. That is my job. I figure if I am a strong enough role model, and my daughter conducts herself in a ladylike manner, then she can listen to whoever she wants.
Disclaimer* it is almost 3am, so if this is a ramble, ignore it

I really love them and I love their songs. Probably some of them are too hot and it is what I don't like about it, as Hot Stuff (I want you back); but the rest of them are funny because they are a bit spicy.
I don't have childs (I'm only 19 years old), but I probably wouldn't like they dressing the same clothes as them
Hope you enjoy this video (it's very, very spicy but very nice. I like their movements)

Lol if u listen to aquas lyrics yeh its not as tame as ud think 1st listening to it

They started out a Vegas burlesque act, its hardly something the younger generations should be watching.
Their music and style is good but not appropriate for children, it's too provocative

No they are not good role models but since when did pop stars get given the role of surrogate parents to the kids that buy their music?
Offline

used to be totally into them
but i grew up haha and i realised that isent really who i want to be
their songs i still sing along
they have this realxed beat on them

I don't think they're bad role models. I mean from what i've heard they don't do drugs or anything like most famous people. Are they bad role models just because they dress sexy?
I like them, I love there music and would love to have the figure and agility they all have especially Nicole. I am a PCDS fan
