I voted for sexy.. but changed my mind a few seconds later.
I love dark clothes and make up etc, but if you wear it wrong, it can be kind of scary and not in a good way. x)

I'd say the late 70's early 80's goth is HOT. I prefer it to modern gothic styles because it's so close to punk and therefore closer to my heart.

I am aware of the many different variations in modern gothic style and I know many goths personally.
Still I'd say that too many people rely on it being a beautiful style and wearing not that fitting or stylish clothes that still would be considered gothic and putting on makeup not that well and looking like a 5yo drew it on with black marker makes them feel like they are part of this group of beautiful people.
I do like it when it's done properly. I don't necessarily find it sexy, but I still like it.
But having spent time with gothic people I have seen that way too many people do it wrong. And because of these individuals most of the scene looks scary to outsiders.
I think it's a real shame, because with proper makeup and fitting clothes all of the scary ones could be amazingly beautiful too.

that clothes is so stupid and it's not sexy at all! it's sexy when someone wear a black elegant dress but that it's not even goth, goth is when someone puts like white blush and lots of black lipstick and wear some torn dress and how that can be sexy?

Actually, most goths don't wear white foundation or black lipstick. We KNOW that it looks stupid on most people. And most goth clothing is not torn. Why waste a good article of clothing by ripping it up?

Personally, I hate it when people wear band t-shirts.  It's tacky. If you can't suggest the type of music you enjoy through your usual style of dress, go home.  You have no style.

I know all about vampires...they sparkle in the sun, they never drink blood and they listen to Death Cab for a Cutie.  Duh.

I agree! It's one thing to wear a band t-shirt to a concert maybe or paired up with something cute like a blazer or vest, but when people ONLY wear band tees it's kind of lame. They're like walking billboards or something.
